See which scores are still moving
When a match review changes a stat, NRL.com updates before fantasy does.
While a round is still running, the round page now lists any player whose NRL.com score doesn't match his fantasy score. A match review can revise a stat after full time — NRL.com picks it up first, and your points don't change until fantasy applies it. The table shows both numbers and the difference, so a close head-to-head doesn't come as a surprise. It only counts finished games, and it's empty most weeks.
Squad, price and ranking data stopped updating for several days after the login we use for fantasy.nrl.com stopped working. It's fixed, and a broken login now reports itself instead of quietly saving nothing.

Projections: rare events count for less, and the bench stops soaking up minutes
Changes to how scoring rate and forward minutes are worked out.
Tries, line breaks and tackle breaks are now weighted by how often a player actually produces them. A forward with a single try to his name barely gets credit for it, while a winger who scores most weeks keeps his rate almost intact — and tackle breaks, which everyone racks up every game, are left alone. Outside backs move the most, because attacking work is over a third of what they score.
When a pack is short of forwards, the spare minutes now go to the starters instead of being piled onto the interchange. A bench forward plays about the same minutes whoever is missing, so projecting him for a much bigger night was rarely right.
Once team lists are out, projections react to who's named: forwards get a lift when their club's regular big-minute middles are missing, and a hooker whose rotation partner isn't playing is projected for a longer night. Before the lists drop nothing changes, since an empty team sheet doesn't mean anyone is out.
The projections guide has been updated to match, and a player dropped out of the 17 late in the week now shows the change on his team-list badge.

Players coming off a bye are back in the mix
A club's bye week was being read as the whole squad getting dropped.
Before team lists come out, we go off last round's to work out who's playing. A club on the bye named nobody last round, which was being taken as every one of their players being left out — so until the lists dropped they were benched by the lineup optimiser, marked as not playing on your squad, and missing from the Trade Calculator. They're now judged on the last team list their club actually named.

New: Red Dot Finder
The cheapest way to buy a loop.
A red dot — a cheap player who won't score this round — is the hole a bench loop runs through, so an emergency's score counts instead of going to waste. The new Red Dot Finder ranks who's worth buying, under Players in the menu.
It ignores projected points entirely and ranks on how long the hole stays open: the later his team plays the more of the weekend you get to react, and a team on the bye is best of all because there's no kickoff to lock at all.
Two lists, because they want opposite things. A one-week looper is out now but played last round, so he's back next week. A season-long buffer is one you hold to the end — there, a player who keeps getting named is the risk, because the week he plays your hole shuts.

Trade Calculator trades everyone you pickedSupporters
Naming who's going out is how you set the number of trades.
Picking players to trade out could quietly leave one behind, because a leftover "number of trades" setting from one of the other tabs was still being applied. The players you name are now the plan — and if you name more than you have trades for, it tells you who missed out instead of dropping them without a word.

💰
See how much cash your opponent has
Guessing their next trade is easier when the shortlist only holds trades they could really make.
Your rival's bank balance now shows on the head-to-head page, next to their trades.
When you guess a trade for them, the suggested replacements are limited to players they could afford — their cash plus the price of whoever they're dropping. Each one shows what they'd have left over.
Only players named to take the field are suggested, so nobody injured, suspended, or left out of the team list clutters the list.
Swapping out someone on the interchange or emergency bench now offers every position, not just theirs — a bench spot takes anyone.
Searching by name still finds any player, marked up with whatever rules them out — the price gap, their status, or the position.

Set restart dashboard now counts NRL games only
It had been averaging in reserve grade, Origin and NRLW alongside the NRL.
Every figure on the set restart analysis page is recalculated from NRL matches alone. The year-on-year comparison the page is built around was the most affected, since the extra competitions in the mix weren't the same ones each season.

Trade Calculator won't offer players you can't sellSupporters
Once the round is under way, some of your squad is already beyond trading.
Players whose game has kicked off, and your captain and vice-captain, are now greyed out in the trade-out picker with the reason shown. Nothing is locked until the round actually starts, so a full week of planning is unaffected.

See where the field is heading, mid-round
Points on the board are only half the story when half the round hasn't been played.
A new chart on the live round page plots every top-1000 squad's points so far against where it's projected to finish. Higher is better, and the flat line is par — so you can tell at a glance whether a rival ahead of you on points is actually ahead, or just further through their games. Sign in and link your team to see yourself highlighted.

Bench loops that actually workSupporters
Your emergencies are now ordered so every looper's score is one you can still act on.
Once a player's game kicks off he's locked where he sits, so an emergency's score only counts for you if the players above him are still movable when he locks. Optimise Team now orders emergencies latest kickoff first instead of by projection — as each earlier game finishes you can drop the slots above to bank that score, or leave them and wait for the next one. Before, a good player with an early game would lock at the top and block everyone behind him.
The non-playing player who holds your interchange spot open is now chosen for the latest kickoff too — or a player on a bye, who never locks at all — so you get the longest possible window to make the swap.

Players in the reserves now count as zero
Being on the team sheet isn't the same as being in the side.
Clubs name the 17 who play plus a few reserves, and a reserve scores nothing unless the coach promotes him. Your squad page and the lineup optimiser were counting reserves on their full projection — they now count 0, carry a Reserve tag, and your round projection reflects the bench cover stepping in. Hover the score to see what he'd be worth if he does come into the 17.

Head-to-Head: guess your opponent's tradeSupporters
Reckon they're about to bring someone in? Make the trade for them and see how the match-up changes.
Swap any player in your opponent's squad for anyone else, and the whole page — unique players, the points gap, win probability, the endgame and the round schedule — is worked out against that squad instead. Trade out their captain and the armband follows the player coming in.
Your what-if sticks to your account, so it's still there when you come back or open YAFSS on your phone. One button puts their real squad back.
Their squad list is now a proper team sheet, split into on-field, interchange and emergency, with each player's status — named, injured, suspended, uncertain — alongside their score.
It also shows who's actually counting. Players whose score doesn't count are faded out, and anyone stepping in for a non-playing team-mate says who they're covering — so you can see at a glance whether their bench is going to save them.

Trade CalculatorSupporters
Tell it who you're thinking of moving on, and it finds the best trades you can actually afford — worked out properly, not guessed at.
New Trade Calc tab on your team page — pick a player to trade out and it ranks the ten best swaps available to you, working within your bank balance and remaining trades.
Three ways to ask. Name who's going out and it finds the best players to bring in. Name who you want in and it works out who to sell to fund them. Or let it optimise freely and choose both ends of the deal itself.
It values a trade by what it adds to your scoring 17, not by comparing the two players swapped. Selling a starter promotes whoever was sitting behind them, so the true cost is often far smaller than it looks — and deliberately downgrading one player to afford a premium elsewhere turns up as a real option instead of looking like a loss.
Every option is scored by simulating the rest of the season round by round, not just next week, so byes, known absences and suspensions are all priced in. A player on a bye keeps nearly all their value — you lose one week, not the player. Each suggestion shows what it's worth per round and across the run home.
It doesn't check a shortlist and hope. Four trades from a couple of hundred available players is well over a hundred million combinations, so instead of testing a sample it solves the whole problem against your cap, your trades and the positions you still have to be able to field — and returns the best set of trades there is, not the best one it happened to stumble across.
A Value ↔ Points slider shifts it between making cash and scoring points — weighted towards cash early in the season and towards points by the run home. Hold players you won't move, protect your keepers, and if you don't like a suggestion, ask again with that player ruled out.
Anyone it can't offer you is listed with the reason, so you're never left wondering why an obvious name is missing.

Sharper minute projections
Minutes now see through the noise that hides a player's real role.
Projected minutes now correct for the things that temporarily mask a player's true role: a sin bin or send-off no longer makes a player read as a smaller role, State of Origin players who get rested when they back up for their club are set aside, and genuine week-to-week rotation is treated as real rather than smoothed away. In practice minutes — and the points built on them — track a player's current role more closely, especially for forwards and hookers.
Forwards no longer look promoted for covering someone else's injury. When a pack-mate's night ends early the forwards left on the field soak up his minutes, and a single one of those games was enough to lift a projection by five. Those games are now discounted back towards the player's usual workload, so a big night spent covering isn't mistaken for a bigger role.

Weather, odds & referee insights
The conditions and market around every match — and how they shape fantasy scoring.
Match pages now show the full match-day picture — weather and ground conditions, the referee, the crowd, each team's captain, and their pre-match win chance from the betting market.
New Referee Analytics page — see how each referee shapes a game: penalties, six-again restarts, sin bins, send-offs, how much gets scored, and the average fantasy haul per player under their whistle.
Filter a player's match history and advanced stats by weather and by pre-match win chance — compare how they perform as a favourite versus an underdog, or in the wet versus the dry. Odds go back to 2013.

Team List Review
A forward-looking review of every named player from Tuesday's team list drop through to first kickoff.
New Team Lists page — both team sheets side-by-side for every match, with breakeven, projection, value vs priced_at, projected minutes, top-1k ownership and a BUY?/KEEPER/WATCH/SELL/HOLD verdict on every player. Becomes the default landing page from team-list drop until the first match kicks off, then auto-flips back to the live scoreboard.
Changes from last week flagged inline — NEW, ⏫ promoted, ⬇ demoted, 🔄 role change — with the full move chain in the tooltip when a player has been shuffled multiple times during the week. Players pulled from the team list show up in an "Out this week" block with reason, return round and the time they were dropped.
Position colouring shows matchup difficulty against opponents that concede to each player's position group over the last 4 rounds — so a Hooker drawing the league's worst-defending hooker matchup pops green. Your squad players are tinted blue and any staged trade-ins/outs glow green/red respectively.
Filter chips above the lists — My squad, Changes, BUY?, KEEPER, WATCH, SELL, Cash cows, plus position filters (HOK / MID / EDG / HLF / CTR / WFB) that respect dual-position eligibility. BUY? fires when a player's projection beats their priced_at by 5+ (premium) or 10+ (cash cow under $400k).
Tidied up the top nav so it stops wrapping on common laptop widths, and match kickoff times now render in your local timezone.

Bye cover picks & smarter projections
Per-position bye candidates on the planner, plus minutes that read a player's actual role.
New "Bye cover options" panel on the Bye Planner — for each gap position, the top picks ranked by coverage × season projection. Partial-coverage stars surface alongside full-coverage options, with round chips showing exactly which rounds each player covers or misses.
Projected minutes now read a player's current-season role, not just their named position. A forward listed at Prop but starting at Lock all season draws on those Lock minutes; injury cameos are filtered out so one short outing doesn't drag a player's average down; rookies with thin samples blend with the position average instead of inheriting a survivor-biased starter number.
Various fixes — Bank/cash on the Bye Planner and Trades tab now reflects your scraped NRL.com balance, and stale trade-in/out rows from mid-round trade reverts auto-heal next time your squad is scraped.

Planned trades now clear themselves once you've actually made the swap in NRL Fantasy — no more leftover rows on My Squad or stuck trades on the Bye Planner.

Optimiser tuned for points
Field is picked by projection. Kickoff timing only matters on the bench.
Field 13 is picked purely on projected points — your highest-projected XIII plays. Bench ordering still uses kickoff so your loop layout is intact.
Squad Value, Bank and Proj Total now react when you Apply Trades, with ↑/↓ badges showing the trade's impact at a glance.
Bug fixes around planned trades on My Squad — rows now show the player names you picked, and Bank reflects the cash impact of staged trades.

Optimise lineup
One click → best legal field 13, captain/VC, and a loop-friendly bench.
New "Optimise lineup" button below the My Squad table. One click picks the best legal field 13, sets captain and vice-captain (with the loophole in mind), and rearranges the table to match. "Reset to current" reverts.
Bench laid out for the canonical loop — your unavailable buffer parks on INT 4, with EMGs ordered by kickoff so EMG 1 is the first look.
Round projection now mirrors NRL scoring properly — 13 field with auto-emergency cover for DNPs, 4 INT scoring slots, captain doubled.
Various fixes — named players are no longer flagged "OUT" from a stale absence, the optimiser handles tied positions sensibly, and players whose teams have kicked off are locked from being traded out.

Plan trades from My Squad
Stage current-round trades right next to your squad table — and they sync with the Bye Planner.
A "Planned Trades" form now sits with the My Squad table. Pick a player out and a player in, hit Apply, and the table swaps in the new player so you can see how the squad looks.
Trades you stage in My Squad and the Bye Planner now share the same store — current-round trades show up in both, and your bank updates to reflect the planned cost.
Click the small arrow next to any player in the squad table or bye grid to start a trade with them preselected as the sell.
Planned trades are now stored against your account, so they survive between visits and across devices.

Player Finder revamp
More filters, numeric inputs over sliders, and smarter defaults.
Toggle "Hide likely Origin" or "Hide Origin" to drop predicted or confirmed Origin selections from the table. The Origin toggle only appears once Origin squads are confirmed.
"Hide my players" hides anyone already in your current squad — defaults to on when you're signed in, so the table starts as a trade-target list.
Min. and Max. Ownership % filters — narrow to popular picks, hunt unowned gems, or anywhere in between.
Sliders are gone — Season, price, games, value and ownership are plain number inputs you can type into. Max price now defaults to the actual most expensive player this round.
Various bug fixes around sorting and clearing filters.

CLEARY Index recalibrated
Tuned against three seasons of historical results to better track actual finishing rank.
Set-and-forget teams (no trades made) are excluded from the comparison cohort, so your CLEARY rank now compares you against actively-managed teams only.
Trades component now rewards trade pacing — both burning trades early and hoarding them score worse than steady-state pacing.
New Score Floor signal — your worst round so far. Teams that consistently avoid bad weeks score better.
By the season's final round, CLEARY now matches your actual finishing rank far more closely than before.

Captain doubling in projected total
Your squad's projected points now include the captain bonus.
The projected total on the My Team page now doubles your captain's projected points (or vice-captain's, when the captain isn't named).
Head-to-Head no longer double-counts a player both squads own when only one of you captains them. The player now appears once on the captain's side as a single — that single score is the captain bonus advantage.
